Members wok
Just a wee experiment before i start recording my own music. Give me some feedback please. Don't mind my sloppy playing http://www.netmusicians.org/index.php?section=id&value=8005 I recorded two tracks (using the same amp settings), one panned slighty left and one right. Completely bare tracks, no effects applied. I used quite rigorous noise gating due to the nature of the music. Please give advice on amp settings. EDIT: this is not a final clip, this is just to check the amp sounds and settings in Amplitube 3.
Members Rogueleader
Gotta make those guitars lower in the mix. Way lower. Edit: Loved the beginning. I'll reserve final judgment for when the guitars are at a more proper volume.

Members wok
second day...second try how would you improve sound? Less/more mids? Less/more bass? Less/more gain? etc.

Members hugbot
Its a fine raw sound to start with, but once you start recording you're going to be adding post EQ and possibly compression anyway so its not going to sound a whole lot like that anyway. Its very difficult to say "oh yeah, needs more mids" becasue whether thats true or not will depend entirely on the rest of the track.
Members solitaire
Something isn't quite right though... Either the guitars are out of tune or some kind of comb-filtering occurs that turns the lowest chords into a bit of a mess. With some chords the strings kind of collide in terms of definition as well.
