My guess: It won't be awesome by professional standards, but it will be better than nearly all of the music produced by the people on this forum, including you and me.
Good deals with: the avenger, Zepsongs, BryanFTWL, gibbyshibby, marshmi, Ovid9, emptyparadigm, thesockmonster, Krunch79, VoodooChild24, espdna, StopReferencing, mhn433, NixerX, Mood Sphinx, itkindaworks, SomeDayRockstar, guller1, metz420(TGP)

I don`t think this sucks at all, TBH.
I like it better than the latest DT stuff.

Yeah, I didn't mind the stuff he worked with on outside of Dream Theater.

Yeah this is what happens when you actually put some thought into how the words sound, instead of writing an essay and then making the singer force the words in to the music. That's why this is better than current DT stuff.

I always though they forced LaBrie to do things with his voice that weren't "natural" for him. Listen to IAW and the listen to Awake. Where they said "be Edgier" I actually started to not like the band that much at that point.

I think he's got a great voice. He's no Geoff Tate or Warrel Dane but the dude is on pitch and has a good sense of melody.

I know I read somewhere that they don't allow James to contribute per se in that while he can write lyrics, he doesn't write music and was told unless he can bring in a working song they wouldn't use it (or something to that degree). Don't remember the full details.

As long as Sfogli is doing all the guitar work, I'll get it. The man is a beast.

^ That clip is the reason I bought my mesa studio preamp and it delivered equally epic lead tone.

I have had it for a few weeks now and after many listens, I love it. But that's just me, I liked his first one.

I think this was more Portnoy suggesting/dictating this.

I agree. Hence the reason I loose no sleep on his departure.
