Members moonstone
Pretty much shelved my Crate V18 because I could not geta clean sound out of it. Way to dark for me! After seeing some clipson Youtube with a guy playing various classic Harmonica Mics througha baseman I decided to pick up a cheep crystal mic and try the Crateout with a harp. The combination of the cheep amp and cheep micis fantastic. Classic blues growl. The whole flavor of the AMP that I disliked for guitar is perfect for Harp. Just thought I would share:thu:
Members NinjaRaf
It took me a while to really love that amp, and some modding. My suggestion, would be to get a brighter speaker, first...like an eminence legend GB128. I also did the clean channel mod on mine. Check out this site...http://blueguitar.org/. TONS of cool and EASY mods to do to that amp...including SLO mod, clean channel mod, XTC mod, and others. Cost me about 6 bucks in parts to do mine, and I {censored}ing LOVED that amp afterwards. My buddy still has it, and I told him I got dibs if he ever decides to sell it.

I picked upall the parts for the SLO mod just never got aroud to doing the change.Sounds like the clean chan mod might be more of what I would look forfor guitar. For now though I'm just lovin the way it is for harmonica! Thanks for the link!
