  • Segway owner dies after falling off river cliff

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_britain_segway_death

The body of 62-year-old James Heselden and a Segway personal transporter were found in the River Wharfe and he was pronounced dead at the scene, West Yorkshire police said.

How ironic. He lost his balance.

Well maybe not. He bought the Segway company and didn't invent the Segway. I guess it's ironic in an Alanis Morrisette way.

      Dip****************...

Too bad all the segways and "smart" cars aren't piled up at the bottom with the owners.

How ****************ed up do you have to be to drive a Segway off a ****************ing cliff?

Rode one this summer for the first time. If I had the money I would have one. I live in small town and this would be perfect for getting around. Plus it is fun as hell.

I have never seen one in my state, I don't think they are legal for general use here. The problem is that dickheads drive them on sidwalks and other pedestrian intended areas. Here you would be required to keep them on the street and observe traffic laws.

I wonder what the owner of Segway's thoughts were after falling down a cliff on a Segway as he's lying with a broken body waiting to die.

It would be even funnier if he hit the ground first and then the friggin segway landed on top of him. (Wiley Coyote style)

I'd be even funnier if he landed with his segway on both wheels at the bottom of the cliff
