Members thesinner66
Someone sold me 10 years worth of Guitar World, Guitar School, Guitar Player and other guitar magazines from 1990-2000. $30 bucks. It's.....kind of awesome!

Members stompboxfreak72
Great score ! I remember when Guitar mags were the only connection to the guitar community. I would pine at my mailbox for each issue. I recently had to repurchase a load of magazines and reading them for me is pure nostalgia. Enjoy. I looked at that gigantic {censored}ing collection of boxes and wanted to douse it in gasoline. For some unknown goddamn reason I still own all of them? Members thesinner66
From glancing over them it's kind of interesting to see the magazines before grunge hit and when it falls in just a few short years. It's also pretty cool to read the magazines I first started learning on.
Members guitarbilly74
Awesome. The old GPs (70's - mid 90's) were really GREAT and very informative. They had a killer staff and wrote some really good articles on gear.

Members eudaimonia02912
Those magazines were vital for me when I first started playing. Guitar for the Practicing Musician had especially nice transcriptions.

I remember reading the letter to GW explaining how he was canceling his subscription due to the fact Good Charlotte was writing technical columns. Members soundgardener75
Congrats! I lost my collection from 1990-95 from a leaky roof that pretty much collapsed from a typhoon back in the 3rd World. Shame GFTPM/Guitar/GuitarOne got bought out by GW. They were a formidable competition.
Members Keebz
Nice! I bet that {censored} was heavy too! I recently had to pack up all my magazines because I moved. Those mags are probably about 5 years worth....man, that box was fkn heavy!
Members thesinner66
Yeah! 2 boxes. Unfortunately the late 90's had too many Korn and Limp Bizkit articles. Fortunately the early to mid 90's had White Zombie, Prong, Helmet, Pantera, Ramones, Soundgarden articles. Found out that NIN's "Closer." drum was sampled from Iggy Pop's "Night Clubbing." You learn something new everyday. Like the Beavis and Butthead theme!
