I put one in a slightly oversized closed back cab and it sounds killer with all three of my amps with crunch and hi gain. The cab is convertible and I started with it open backed since I was too lazy to put the back on and just wanted to hear it after I put it in the cab. I thought it sounded pretty good but the next day I put the back on and compared it to my favorite Mesa Recto 2x12 cab with the Mark IV, Marshall Artist, and the Crate V30 head and it tightened things up in the low end where it was needed and it delivers the distortions. It's close enough for me to the Mesa cab and it's only a 1x12...cool! It's not too dark like some have said (for me anyways) and it just sounds like it wants to get pushed as hard as you want to push it. Very cool.
