Peavey Rockmaster conversion to 5150/SLO preamp

Ohh, not another mod thread by me..... :facepalm::lol:

 

Since I already begun modding I decided to go all the way with a 5150/SLO preamp conversion, as close as I could get with what I had. So it's not 100% 5150/SLO, rather 91.3%, cause the EQ is active in the Rockmaster and whatnot.

I'm well aware of that it doesn't sound like a 5150, since I actually used to own one. And SLO uses 10uF filter caps for the preamp giving it a smoother treble response. And both those also uses a passive EQ section witch scopes the mids. Time to booST.

The power amp is making me kind of mad, I shouldn't record clips using EL34's when trying to get close to a 5150. It was also built to get a saggy feel and not the tightness I'm after for this preamp.

 

Anyway here is another clip, with a maxon od808, sounds kind of mushy. Trying to mic a cab can be painful. :mad:
