  • What guitar tone do you love?

    Just to get the other side of conversation..

    Which *ONE* guitarist has your all-time favorite tone? List album or song if possible.





    I'm going to have to go with Alex Lifeson's tone on Limelight.

      Depends what you mean by "tone". I can't pick one person though.

      Searing lead tones? Probably Petrucci and Gilbert
      Beautiful tones? David Gilmore
      Metal tones? Opeth

      By the way, why does this thing tell me that Petrucci is misspelled but the suggested replacement is "firetruck"? WTF?

          Didn't know this until recently, but turns out Mastodon was heavily influenced by them. Makes sense .

            I Love the tone on Bad Co - Rock steady.. I heard it was a old Marshall ? But it sounds like a smaller amp to me,, I have no idea what they used to record that album with.. anyone
