Members peavey_impact
There's garageband; I use it with the iphones built in mic to record acoustic demos. It's {censored}ing awesome. Tascam makes an interface/preamp for iphone, also. Recorded these with mah phone http://soundcloud.com/devinchaseortego/neworld http://soundcloud.com/devinchaseortego/kingdom-hearts-dearly-beloved http://soundcloud.com/devinchaseortego/iphone-garageband-test

Members diocide
I love the Garageband app for getting ideas together. Figure out your BPM, throw a "smart" drum pattern in the background and record away. Great tool for on the go recording.

Members diocide
What do you use to plug your guitar into the phone? I don't have in interface. I just use the mic, but you NEED a set of headphones if you're doing multiple layers of guitar, otherwise the playback gets looped and everything sounds like {censored}... GB is the best 5 dollars you'll ever spend on an app.
Members ZombieCat
What do you use to plug your guitar into the phone? Well if you want to drop some cash, I would suggest MIC by Apogee. http://apogeedigital.com/products/mic.php. I have one for the sole purpose of plugging it into my iPhone to make recordings of ideas when I am jamming out. I can quickly set it up to mic my amp vs using my computer. Sounds pretty damn good. Members NinjaRaf
Yeah, not really looking for something like that. If I wanna mic, Ive got my whole setup at home for that. Im thinking for like...right now...Im at work jamming on some stuff and wish I had a way to just plug my amplug into the iphone and record what Im playing. I dont think I need anything super fancy. If I was gonna get a mic, theres a tascam one for like 70 dollars or something. I know apogees stuff is supposed to be really good, but I dont need nor do I want to spend a bunch of money for this purpose. For now, I just used the voice memo recorded and put my headphones up against the iphone mic....came out pretty good lol.
Members AizenX
Line 6 mobile in pwns iRig. I use it with Peavey's AmpKit (but don't use their device either). The devices that go through the headphone port are noisy as hell - especially w/ high gain (Raf, I'm talking to you bro). Going thru the 30 pin connector is bliss - great for high gain without feedback. Line 6's app is free and so is Peavey's AmpKit (which I like even better). You can buy more crap within the app, but you don't need it.
Members Samnite
Is there a good option for Android phones? I have a buddy who uses GB all the time, but I don't have an iPhone.
