  • Ideas for a Beatles inspired Pedalboard?

So, most of us know it's hard to obtain the "Beatles Sound" from a live rig. A lot of the sounds were crafted in the studio (e.g. Revolution Distortion). Although I might not be able to capture every single tone I'm looking to grab more of the mid to late Beatles sound (Fender Amp, Strat/Tele/Casino). Here's an idea of what would be needed.

    Tonebender Clone

    Leslie Speaker Style Pedal

    Compressor

    Chorus

    Volume Pedal

    Treble Booster

    Analog Delay

Any other ideas on what would be needed? How about suggestions on the pedal types listed?

    Thanks for the help!

Chorus (in the pure electronic sense) were not really invented till the mid 70's. Though the Beatles used a tape delay with a piece of tape on the pinch roller to give it a warble to achieve a chorus like effect. Chorus like effects then were done with various tape techniques or Leslies then.

The Mobius has the best Leslie (rotary speaker) simulation ever. Has that airy quality.

Have to have a Flanger. Lennon is the one that came up with that name.

They did it with fingers on the flange of the tape reel.

Digitech EX7 should take care of the Leslie/Doubler/Chorus sounds.

I know I'm going to be executed by the HCAF firing squad, but I'd say "no thank you" to 90% of Beatles tones.

R.I.P. George Harrison. I meant no disrespect.
