Also though I have a set of JJs in it I may be one of the few people on the planet that find Sovtek EL-84s to be about as good as it gets for reliability and durability.But no. This amp sounds like a wet turd. Non existant bass response dull highs with no brass and nasaly mids that are very unpleasent. The gain just goes from very dull cleans straight to mud as you turn it up. I do have a V-30 laying about I suppose I could try.
