Members cdstrings
Just got a new tv and want to get a new home theater system. Had an 11 year old reciever with 2 tower speakers and subwoofer powered by an 11 year old receiver. Sold that so I can upgrade. Not sure if I want to go all in one or do component again? Looking to spend around $500-$600 but might go higher. What say you?

Members midnightlaundry
I bought a 5 channel Sony system a few years back for about $400 bux. It has 1000 total watts RMS with a complete HDMI in/out network. You don't need a bank loan to have something cool.

Members midnightlaundry
IT's this, but it's discontinued. http://store.sony.com/p/HT-SS2300/en...specifications But I'm sure they have the new model.

Members linthat22
Got a cheap little setup, but I enjoy it. I have a Pioneer 1120-K receiver and the Mirage MX speaker set. For a first home theater, it has/does everything I need for now.

Members diocide
I've got a Denon receiver and A set of Boston Acoustics speakers. Sounds great IMO, my Only beef being that it doesn't seems as loud as it should be at times.
