Same as I've used for years. D'Addario 10-46 on the 6-strings, 10-59 for the 7-strings.

Usually bought in bulk from overseas, coz string prices here are a joke.

Yeah, I have to laugh when I see bulk packs on sale here and it's still more expensive than what you can get from overseas, shipped.

I remember before D'Addario came out with the 10-59 7-string set, buying a loose 59 gauge here was was much as buying a whole pack of 10-46s in Japan. WTF mate? I practically shat myself on the spot when I went to Japan a while back and saw the string prices. About $4 a pack there when stores here'd be trying to sell 'em for $16 a pack or something. What, are you buying each box of strings an actual seat on a plane to import them or something?

            Also, **************** this forum.

Try as I might to explore other options, I keep coming back to Ernie Ball Slinkies. They just feel like home.

I use 10-46 on my Kay hollowbody, 11-48 on my project guitar (tuned to D standard) and 10-52's on my Ibanez RG (tuned AEBF#C#E - 'new standard tuning' down a minor third).

Same thing I've been using since the last one of these threads were posted.

and as usual these threads make me think about changing it up to something a little different.

D'Addario EXL115 .11-.49 right now. I used to used the EXL110 .10-.46, but I switch over when I joined my most recent band because we play in D-Standard. The 10's were just a bit too floppy in that tuning for my tastes. My previous band played in Eb Standard and the 10's felt perfect for that.
