Yes the problem is so bad that some people can't even find where to post forum feedback, and put it into the "Amps" section. Can't blame you ... Cut that out and the layout becomes a lot more bearable. If that is not done then there's not much hope for this forum. Here's a mockup I did with a few Javascript changes.
