  • A rather nifty computer tool

iDisk. It's a tool that allows you to see where your hard disk space is alloted to. This is handy, when, like me, you deal in large volumes of crap (music, movies, comics...porn).

I went through and did some pruning on my hard disk today, and came up thinking I was shy about 10 gigs. Where does 10 gigs go? What the hell? Thanks to iDisk, I happen to know it was all in music. That I haven't listened to in over a year.

But, y'know, it's a nifty tool for those of you that enjoy such things.

Sounds like you just need to have directories organised better.

Dude, I can navigate my directories with ease. I know precisely where everything is. What I lost, apparently, was how much room the music took up (and, having not listened to it for a year, I forgot I had a couple band's entire discographies, not just single albums).

I'd never get used to something like that. I know exactly where everything is on my computer so what do I need a search for?
