 Another :D KTre owner checking in. This is my first Rivera and so far I'm very happy. Here is a previous posting I put up with a metal clip:

The Tre can also do some pretty gnarly rock tones as well so don't be put off by the "high gain" marketing of the head. Just be sure to crank it up to at least 2 1/2 or 3 on the master to get anything monstrous going.

Hey Rayneman, what speakers are in your 2x12?

I think in that pic what you see is a DSL50 which I no longer have. But live I use the K-Tre with a Mesa Recto 4x12 w/ V30s and at home I have a Marshall 4x12 with GT12-75s and V30 in a x-pattern that I primarily use. I have some 2x12s but I've grown used to the 4x12 even at home at lower volumes!

I've only used the K-Tre with either the GT12-75s or V30s and it works fine with both...

Yea, I have a Bogner with the crossed v30's and t75's and recently I tried replacing the 75's with 2 more v30's and it changed my tone way too much. I put the 75's back in and now I'm a happy camper.

I know RonniePentatonic was going to try some Celestion cl80's in a cab with his Tre and I'm curious how that is going to sound. It's definitely something a little different than the norm.

Another K-Tre user here. Have gone thru Marshall, Mesa, VHT, Budda, 5150's, Ampeg, Randall, etc...and while thier all good amps, this one is working out best for me at the moment.

Video (since search function sucks):

Video of some live solos from a show last weekend. (KTre of course.)

The kid is our 10 year old co-lead guitarist Jack Ripper. He's playing a Fender Metalhead for anyone interested in the contrast between the Ktre and MH.

Thanks man! I gotta get the kid into a tube amp, the only 2 amps he has is a Line6 Spide combo and the Metalhead 1/2 stack.

LOL...If I'd known half the stuff I know now when I was that young I'd be way ahead of the game. Tube is the way to go for rock and metal. I couldn't imagine not playing through tubes now.

I have an R55 that I converted to a head, running through an Engl 4x12. I can make this amp sound like anything I want. I'll keep it till it dies like an old truck.

For me the magic dirty sound comes from =no pedals upfront=

(EQ in the loop)

Hey, i've got an R100 and was wondering if you could elaborate on what kind of eq/loop/amp settings you like to use?

Sounds like a sweet setup. Can you post a clip?
