Members audiosalvage64 Posted July 18, 2013 Members Share Posted July 18, 2013 I've in the past used a JCM800 for everything and got bored, went through a thousand tube amps some better than others. Now 30 years later I tried a Fender mustang 1 and love some of the settings. The problem is I feel I want to duplicate some of the 80s/90s style hot tones and still stay true to tubes but can't find something I like in my price range. Modeling has its purpose, but modeling mixed with tube amps always means a compromise imo. 80's tone- Jcm800, Chorus pedal, Delay pedal, Boost should cover it.
