Members midniteblue Posted October 25, 2013 Members Share Posted October 25, 2013 Due to the fact that I have 3 HRD's (2 USA and 1 Mexico) and that I like building things, I decided to turn one into a HRD head. I used one of the USA models and after about 12 hours of work I now own a HRD Head. I play it through an original Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1X12 cabinet. The Celestion speaker has been replaced with an EV EVM 12L CLASSIC 8 OHM speaker. I just took one more step in coming closer to finding my perfect sound. I think it looks kind of cool too! I know there are heavier amps than the HRD but carrying it up and down the basement steps for every gig gets kind of old, and I am not getting any younger either.
