Members headdie
hi folks,i've just got one of these DG60. i like it very much, but I find it too noisy/hissy to play at low volume just in front of it. could someone tell me if it's the way it is, or if i should get it to a technician for a repair.thank you, headdie
Members HKSblade2
Pretty much normal. Are the controls dirty? Scratchy pots?
Members WRGKMC
I had a Yamaha back in the early 80's. It was a 40 watt combo and I think I paid $40 for it. Cant remember what model it was. It was pretty much a piece of crap for sound quality. I'm an electronic tech who repaired gear for a living and I made sure all the components were good in there. Even tried a different speaker with no luck. It was just a piece of garbage amp.It worked and all that, it just doesnt compare to real amps. I think I sold it at a flea market for $100 and bought something better. It surprising because Yamaha makes some decent audio gear like PA cabs, Mixers and Studio monitors. The Instrument amps I've tried are sterile sounding solid state junk. Even the overdrive is nasty.
Members headdie
Some controls may need to be cleaned, but the're not noisy when I move them. I'll check anyway. Thanks,
