Members Mr.scary96
Well on old amps please keep in mind that in a way it is like an old automobile. The original parts will wear out and go bad like caps, transformers etc. otherwise Univox made great amps as I own a 1226 head that was great but needed new tubes and caps when I got it. Hope this helps
Members granchton
They called back .It turned on ,all the tuibes lit up. It hummed so loud( with nothing plugged in) I could hear it over the phone . It had sat in storage at a trailer park clubhouse for eons .It prolly needs everything done except to replace the transformer .
Members Mr.scary96
It's a U-42. The thing is likely to need new caps/tubes

Members Mr.scary96
That in the end would be good for you. Univox built guitars that can be good (hit and miss), amps that are built like tanks though I have to jump channels to get distortion on my 1226 but I bought it for $260 and paired it with a DIY 2x12 cabniet
