  • POD PEOPLE!!! Please Step Up... Gimme Some Patches!

    Hey All!

I just got my POD 2.0 upgrade yesterday. I got all excited and changed the chip in about 45 seconds! Yep... I'm a moron. You see, I didn't bother to save/write down my presets. LMAO! WoooOOPS!

Anyway... I thought this would be a good opportunity to start with some new 'tones'. I don't have the ability to go to the tone libraries on the Line 6 site. AND... I thought it would be far more personal and fun if you guys would care to share summa your personal presets/tone choices. Whatta ya say? This could be fun!

    Hit me! I'm waiting.

    Respectfully, Os

      Thanks Ant...

I'll check them out when I get home this morning. BTW... I have NOTHING. LOL I've never looked at other people's patches before. Only mine for the last couple of years. I'm looking to broaden my horizons. Hehe.

      Thanks again...

      Os

Anyone else got anything for me? I wanna know what *YOU* are doing with the POD.

Hey Oz, first off, I reccomend PatchWizard software Lib/Editor. It's much better than Soundiver.

        http://www.patchwizard.com/

But get Soundiver as well, at:http://www.line6.com/support.asp?ID=201

You'll need that to access their library, which has hundreds of presets.

Then, check out any or all of these forums. I've gotten some good info at each of them:

        http://64.224.126.160/Boards/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

        http://www.instituteofnoise.com/forum/

        http://www.podforum.com/

Good luck. You're going to have a lot of fun with this little bean.

Here are some captures I took of some of my presets. The software is PatchWizard. It's cool because the inventor of the software hangs out on those forums, taking 'support' to a whole new level.

Hey Cor .... wish I could help. I've never written down my patches, I just spin the dials until it sounds good. I have yet to hook up the PC software, but when I do, I'd love to share patches .... that's a POD on my Deeper Jam#1 (sig line).

I recently got a POD 2.0, I doubt it has the upgrade. It was the demo model, got it from MARS just before they went out of business.

How did you get the upgrade? Is the chip sold in stores?

Oh, I thought you were talking about the 2.3 upgrade.

I don't have any patches anyway, I run my POD in manuel mode rather than using the presets.

Same here .... I believe that if you registered the POD that you can get the upgrade chip for free

Here is my favorite nasal lead tone when I had the Pod:

model: brit hi gain or modern hi gain

cab sim: hold tap tempo and turn the fx knob to 'delay compressor' - I think it's some kind of 1x10"

drive: 6-7 (or whatever I'm in the mood for)

                          bass: 10

                          mids: 10

                          highs: 6

effects: compressor with fx mix knob set to 3

For best results try a bridge humbucker. GREAT attacky, cutting and sustaining TONE : )

                            Hah!!! Thanks everyone!!!

DK... Duder... I'm all over it tomorrow morning! Nothing like the sound of a 'cookin' Marshall' er... Marshall Model. Hehe.

Help me out with this guys. I have the E-Magic softwre for the POD. I have an SB AWE32 soundcard. It's got a port on the back, I assume for MIDI. Do I have to buy some sort of adapter to go from that sort of port to a MIDI female so I can plug the POD into it? I want access to all of the other parameters on this damn thing. Diffusion, etc, etc, etc... What do I need to do?!

                            Thanks again, Fellas.
