  • About the Zamboni Jam...

For those of you who were wondering what ever happened to this one, the jam is still alive, but I'll probably have to put it on hold for a good while. I probably won't have a good enough computer to cyberjam with until about early March when Mrs. SGNR will be joining me in Montreal (I leave Chicago in about 2 weeks). Therefore I won't be able to do anything with it until then.

Again, this jam stays alive, it'll just be on hold for a while till the SGNR family is all moved and settled.

Does that mean we have 3 months to come up with something "utterly brilliant"

Well, if I had anything better than a P166 Laptop waiting for me in Montreal, I'd keep production going at a slower rate. Unfortunately, even something basic with only 4 tracks is too much for a lowly little laptop like that to handle.

I have an analog 4-track (Yamaha) you could borrow ....

Just record a guitar solo - flip the cassette (yes, I said cassette) and "voila" .... instant Hendrixian backwards guitar solo ...

You'd be better off with the 166

I actually have my old Tascam 4 track that I plan to bring with me until the good computer arrives.

You're right, I'm better having the computer.

LOL. I once read that it takes the average college educated adult 1 1/2 hours to learn to program a VCR. It takes the average 5 year old, 1 1/2 minutes.
