  • Here it comes...Rustyjam 2!!!

Yes, folks, here it is, another fine helping of the Vets' Finest...

    http://www.cyberjams5.com/data/rustyjam2.mp3

My thanks to those involved - I think you'll agree there are some very juicy moments here, and I had a lot of fun playing with it all...

    Participants, with start times:

    Smokey 0:39
    Jazbrokr 1:20
    Rusty 1:48
    ROry 2:16
    Kerc 39
    CGAS 43

It's just less than 5 megs. If anyone would like to listen, but really can't face the idea of downloading it at 2Kb/s, let me know and I'll encode a lower-quality version...

You'll notice that the voiceover presentation just doesn't mix in properly, despite my best efforts et EQing, etc. If anyone has any tips on how to improve this, please tell me - I'll be eternally grateful

    Cheers
    Rusty

    Hey, nice job y'all!
I really dig the groove of this tune and it sounds like everybody had fun jamming on it.

CGAS, I stopped counting your notes at around 1,400,345...
My name is Dave and I play guitar.

ROry 2:16 Way to work the blues boxes around thse tricky changes

Kerc 39 Very cool mellow interlude! Nice note choices. Great phrasing. Great mix on this part, btw. Great idea Rusty!

CGAS 43 Nice legato dude! Way to smoke it to a close! I wish I had that smooth technique.

Wow outstanding jam folks! Nice production Rusty! As far as the voice over goes, it didn't sound compressed...was it? Compression should help cure that. Try using a high compression ratio on recorded voice 1:8..1:6 something like that play around with it. Also a little cut in the 2K-4k range on the parametric EQ can help too.

        As far as the jam

Smokey..I loved the tone, and the trill at the end was classic
        Jazbrokr..Unreal ideas and execution
Rusty..your playing was too sweet,it seems that you get better and better every time I hear you play..fantastic!
        Rory.. nice smooth playing
Kerc..excellent change of pace. I completely dug the mood you generated!
CGAS..I didn't think it was humanly possible to play that many notes..unreal..and it was all done fluidly.

        Great job guys!

Oh, we can call him Jaz the Hack! The irony!

Great playing, guys...I feel totally out of place between such great hacks, er, I mean players. No, seriously. Great job!

Sounded like tons of fun! Harkens back to the original cyberjam with the participants being called out.

Thanks, are you really doing another take?

Thank you very much for the kind words, folks

To answer stratboy151 and Citizen Cain, if I get a few more submissions, I'll be very happy to do a third version - it'd give me an excuse to change the backing arrangement a bit (but not the structure - use the frame you've already got...).

                        Cheers

Cheers Cap. Hope we can do this again!

Is the link to the backing track still available somewhere?
