  • John Prine Anyone?

I just booked him for a show at our Brady Theater for March 29. I have never seen this legend. Have you?

      Don't mind if I do!

(reaches for "John Prine"; removes from case; drops in CD drive; pushes "Play"; settles back for an "Illegal Smile")

... there's more guitar content and less annonymous cowards grinding their axes ...

Yes, I thought his health was failing. Glad to see him still gigging.

I have 'Lost Dogs and Mixed Blessings' and 'The Missing Years' which are really inconsistent albums... but when he's on, he's on.

"lost dogs" was my last JP purchase and it's truely "mixed".

my first listen to "lake marie" was shocking: what started out as a love story about a secluded lake ended up being a murder story. he can come up with some strange subject material but it's always interesting.

A buddy of mine was camping in Algonquin Park (ontario) when a pick-up truck came down the road and stopped at their campsite. The door opened and who should get out but Mr. Prine himself(apparently he likes to fish and camp up here)he proceeded to sit down pick up a beer and played tunes around their campfire for two or three hours... how cool is that?I always miss those trips...the only things that show up on my trips are bugs, bears and wardens
