  • New Old Song

This is something I did in my pre-Forum days. It sounds dated now, but I think I had some good ideas going. Please let me know if I didn't, no hard feelings. It's called "Loaves and Fishes".

    LOAVES AND FISHES

See the moon on the water, feel the wind in the trees
But from over the border, one can sense the unease

    What hides across the border?
    Some speak of foul disease
    This hearsay breeds confusion
Seems like nothing ever is what it seems

On a beach with no footprints
    On a hill without green
    Someone turns on the headlights
    Denudes the devil's extreme

    Draw lots and swallow camels
    White knuckled, ill at ease
Horde all your loaves and fishes
'Cause we never seem to get used to this

hey nerve, i really like it. it does sound dated but only in it's simplicity. it's a good tune with all kinds of possibilities like, maybe a little guitar riff after each line or a very simple intermittent rhythm guitar. good job!

      nice lyrics, too

If it's dated Nerve, then I am too. I like it a lot. I especially like the reprise of the clean piano riff in the end.
Nerve, to my listening, you might want to bring the drum track up a little in the mix.
        Well done bro.
