        Yes, I did. It's fun- the intonation isn't perfect, but for an 80 dollar Chinese mando, what can one expect? And I don't know how much of that is because the factory strings are really thin and haven't stretched yet. But the electronics on it are great- it sounds like a mandolin when it's plugged it. I've already learned the basic chords on it, and now I'm working on minors and 7ths. I still have to stop and think when I change chords, though- the guitar habit is a hard one to overcome. But I'll get there!

            you could alwys cheat and tune it like a guitar...I know, it ain't right, but...

                Nah, I'm determined to learn the right way, Besides, it's all tuned in 5ths, just like a violin. That means I can form lots of chords with just two fingers. Which is a good thing when your fingers are roughly the size of Ball Park Franks. But it's tricky when playing single note runs and you change strings.
