for those not aware, Campbell was the studio guitarist for the Beach Boys, among others, in the 60s, before he broke out on his own. At least he will get a chance to go out on his own terms.

Best of luck to Glen, but another thing that helps is not being drunk out of your mind for most of the time for 30 years. No offense.

I hope it comes out well.

          Rats, that stinks.
My grandmother has alzheimers so I know what his family is going through.
I pray he has a safe and happy passage onto the next level.

my mother is in the early stages...she know who I am most of teh time...but we repeat conversations constantly for her. As there is no real cure, he has a rough road ahead, as do his loved ones.

              Yeah, it's rough.
My brother and sister made a video of my grandmother answering the phone when some telemarketer called. She gave that guy hell with all the repeating things over and over and her saying things that had nothing to do with the conversation. First time I watched it I laughed...then promptly cried my eyes out.

This was the woman that did so much for me as a kid...reduced to almost a 5-6 year old mentality.
              It's depressing...

West's issue was due in no small part to his diabetes, which, in some way, he could have prevented, so although I am sorry for his having part of his leg removed, he has to accept some responsibilty for that happening to him; in Campbell's case, this was not something he could have prevented, despite the platitudes from the medicos...they really do not know what causes Alzheimers...and won't for a long time to come.
