  • Eli Young band "Crazy Girl" guitar effect?

    Can anyone identify the signature lick that start off in beginning of song?Is it a reverse effect?studio oriented?I am trying to duplicate to no luck doing so.

      I use my pedal steel when we play this and get fairly close by "swelling" (picking and then rolling volume on) and "gutting" (Picking with volume full on and then rolling off) with my volume pedal. I'm pretty sure it is a reverse gate although I haven't taken the time to actually try this. I still a use an old Boss VF-1 for my effects. If I get a chance I'll try setting it up.

        sounds to me like an attack decay pedal, which were popular in the 70s, and I believe there are still a few out there on the market (Malekko, Pigtronix) and E-H used to make one, IIRC.
