the voice of an age, right there...

Activities here have been temporarily disabled since the fundamentals of mathematics, physics and reason may be incomprehensible during this indeterminant period of instability. I love a LOT of old rock and roll stuff from the early days...Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Link Wray, Jerry Lee Lewis...

And a ton of stuff from the 60s and 70s as well.

But if you want to talk "oldies" I have gone through phases where for months everything I listened to was recorded before 1940. Until I lost it all in a flood, I used to have a massive collection of old rural blues, country stringband, ethnic music and hot jazz, mostly recorded between 1915 and 1935.

I could still, if I had to, listen exclusively to music recorded before WW2 and be perfectly happy with that for the rest of my life.

I would miss rock and roll and noise though.
