    Bet there was an issue with his stomach before the soup. (Some farts don't need a match to light up the night.)

      needless to say, since this happened in China, to a Chinese man, there was no censure to the restaurant...he did order it as spicy as they could make it...one wonders what the spoon looked like...

              nutmeg is likely to blame. well known for eroding the stomach lining and used in indo-chinese quisine.
