  • Sooooo my Dad died last night.....

I wish we had a  smiley here.

My Mom called me at 2:30AM and said we had to go to the hospital.  I knew what it was about.  He's been in ICU for a month with pnemonia or however you spell it and had good and bad days, but it finally got him.  He was 80 years old.   What a sad thing, I've not lost anyone that close before.  He is the reason I love motorcycles, guitars, guns and photography.  He is also the reason I have a healthy funny bone.... he was funny without even trying to be..... up to the last minute.

Thanks for listening, that will be all

It's a very strange time in life when you lose your parents to time. After the grief and reflection you suddenly realize,,,your times next. Sorry for your loss Tweedbucket. My sincere condolences.

I'm truly sorry Sir. Lost my dad a long time ago when he was 58, so I'm a bit jealous you had yours for so much longer, but happy you did. Jealous as well you could put your love for him into such wonderful prose, yet happy you can.

I hope whatever God you pray to is showing him the full measure of love and respect you so obviously had for him, and Providence gives you and all who love you and loved your Father the fortitude, comfort, and closure all will need in the next few days and the foreseeable future.
