Members Anderton
I was talking with Mitch Gallagher over the weekend, and he's trying to assemble a hex pickup setup himself. He got a Roland hex pickup and hasn't put it on the guitar yet, but in collecting the needed tools, he looked for an interface with at least six high-impedance inputs. And looked. And looked. And he found that the only one that met that requirement is the http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/8pre/body.htmlMOTU 8pre. That may change with Keith McMillan's StringPort comes out, but for now, it seems like the 8pre is the only game in town. I'm going to ask Mitch if he can come in here from time to time and report on his progress.
Members aliensporebomb
Hmmmmmm. That is interesting that there is just one. I'll have to detail my recording setup a bit later so you can see how I'm doingthings, it's going to be a bit more difficult once I get my big train-set all puttogether but shouldn't be impossible. Members Nik
The individual string outputs on GK and other 13-pin pickups are generally driven by active buffers, so it's not strictly necessary to use hiZ inputs.

Members Anderton
Great point, Steve! You don't have to use a "traditional" interface - a FireWire mixer will do the job.
