  • Beginnings- Chicago

I recorded this song in one sitting, playing all the instruments by myself, going track by track. I started with a Breedlove Fusion acoustic using a AT4050 mic, added the vocals, then a D35 as the second acoustic, then bass direct, background vocals, acoustic drums, electric rhythm guitar, and then layered lead guitars, nine to ten separate overdubs. Then mixed it all down! My take on a great song! Sometimes when I learn a new song I like to record it, and in this case I ended creating a backing track for when I am performing solo, unfortunately with this method of tracking I do seem suffer some tempo and timing issues, plus I'm not really a drummer, but it is fun to do all the parts... warts and all
I love to record sound I love to play music I love to perform I am a guitar player who can sing too, I have a home studio, and a band as well. I perform as a solo performer, and with a five piece pop/rock cover band. Please enjoy the music!

    nicely done

i really like that era of the band and you've captured the essence
    "Isn't it a pity, isn't it a shame,
how we break each other's hearts
    and cause each other pain"
