  • My falsetto deteriorates as the day goes on. Why?

I have a strong falsetto but it deteriorates as the day progresses. Often by night my falsetto is a rasp. I hate the inconsistency because I have gigs at night. Help!

Seriously - don't sing during the day and save your voice for the gig.

The most I sing is doing my warm ups during the afternoon if I can't or don't want to do it at the gig.

My guess is that you might be using too much air and over-blowing your vocal cords. For me personally, I find that my falsetto actually gets stronger throughout the day. I don't usually sing in the morning though. But most of the time I would just start the day with practicing falsetto sirens non-stop until the thick morning voice goes away.
