Members kickingtone
Sounds good. It could have done with a slightly lighter touch when the instrumentals were quieter. I think your voice worked well in the fuller mix. Once or twice you leaned in a bit too heavy, I thought.
Members choski2
Thanks! Yeah, I do have to work on my dynamics. I'll try to work on not leaning in too heavy.
Members FelipeCarvalho
Hi! You have an interesting voice, great potential. The recording you did is sounding ok, but there is a lot you can do in there to squeeze more quality from it. First, you are tending to nasalize it a bit too much, although the style may kinda ask for it, its overdone and ends up making it sound a bit distracting. If you are familiar with the notion of placement, try aiming your voice lower, specially on the lower notes. If not, open more the mouth and make an effort to articulate vowels more clearly. Another issue is support, your voice is relaxed which is very good, but at many times it ends up getting breathy where it should not be, it would also cause a bit of nasalance on the low range so it may all be related. This is something best worked with your voice teacher. In regards to the interpretation, watch out for the dynamics, you were comming a bit too strong for the parts where the song is softer and when the music picks up the pace you had no headroom to give it more punch (and even held it back on some spots). With that in mind, value the open vowels more, whenever you have a sustain on AH, EH or OH, try to keep them clear and match points on the song interpretation where the same vowels appear to create a pattern. Linking a video with an example. I hope it helps! Felipe
