I've posted a few covers on here before a while ago an i just wanted to share this cover i recorded earlier. Think this is the right section of the forum to post this?

 

Anyway i really like this song and i have no recording equipment at all so it's just filmed on my phone with the song in the background, if you like it feel free to subscribe to the channel... i want to start uploading a bit more regularly!

You have great relative pitch, come in on beat and have good diction, which is excellent.

 

However, you need to work on lyrical phrasing.

 

In the same way that you don't breathe in mid-sentence when speaking, you shouldn't breathe mid-line when singing.

For example, you don't go "I waited for the bus this morning *breathe* on my way to school."

You say "I waited for the bus this morning on my way to school."

 

You make this mistake at 00:54 when you sing "I just can't deny *breathe* ee"

 

Another thing you do a lot is raise your head when hitting higher notes.

 

Don't do this.

It's a bad habit. And makes your singing sound forced and in worst case scenarios, it sounds whiny.

Instead, when hitting higher notes, look straight ahead and use your diaphragm.
