Here's a summary... Most people think developing the mixed voice is about just doing a vocal exercise or a "trick" but really it is a step-by-step process that involves different phases of training to develop parts of the voice so that the voice learns to STAY CONNECTED as you sing higher. You see, mixed voice isn't a "third voice", it's merely the ability for you to take your chest voice or "real voice" and simply stay connected to it as you sing higher and higher. It is not achieved by singing in a whisper volume hoping it magically transforms.
