Members srobinson9333
Hi guys! This is a new song that I'm trying out, Id like to see what you guys think! I'm most concerned about my tone, I feel that its too whiny, and nasally please let me know if you think so too, or if you have any thoughts or comments on my singing, specifically my tone. Thanks! https://soundcloud.com/stephen-robinson-28/try-cover-sample
Moderators davie Posted March 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2015 Hey there,Though your sound is a bit raw, I think its good and has potential. Sometimes the voice can get nasally when a singer goes for the upper range. To warm up and balance out the sound, you may need to put in some more breath support and open up the throat space a bit more. Generally, a nasal sound usually means there's too much tension involved and the throat might be being squeezed.
Members srobinson9333
hi! Thanks for the advice! can you explain a couple things for me? What do you mean by raw? And at what parts do I sound nasally? Thanks a lot!
Moderators davie Posted March 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2015 By raw, I mean untrained. It wasn't overly nasal, maybe just slightly in a few parts in the chorus.
