  • which windows 7 version for home recording

which version of windows 7 is best for home recording. Will the 32 bit version recognize more than 4gig of ram. xp sp3 only sees 4 gig. All my software is 32 bit. Do I need to go with professional or will home version work fine. thanks

Unless you have more than 5 pc's networked together, all you need is home. Pro just gives IT-department networking tools.

32bit will only use 4gb ram. If you want to use more you need to go 64bit. Of course all you software (daw, plugins, etc) will need to be 64bit too although a 64bit OS can run 32bit software.
