It's free and I've got a couple of weeks before my next gig. I'm using a Mackie DL1608 with Ipad and the MacBook is my backup. (And also where I download any recordings made on the mixer.

So far no issues. It told me that Avast wouldn't work, but it sure looks like it does. Anyway, the browser seems faster and the laptop seems to be running cooler. (At least on the less intensive programs.) I'd say it's a win all around. I've got one Mac-mini that's too old to run it. Pity, cause it would really benefit from the slimming down that occurred. Also, I run about 4 separate desktops normally and previously I had to return to the original one to access the dock and Applications folder. Now I can get to them immediately from any desktop. (Including the one I use for Safari.) Nice improvement. I like the ibooks cause I've been putting all my equipment manuals into my iphone and ipad for a while now. I could get to them before, but I had to open them up in itunes on my Mac. Maps is OK, but I doubt that it will get much use from me. The one on my iphone, I use all the time. (Gotten used to the quirks and Apple seems to be fixing most of those.) Got to spend some time looking at the other 195 changes that are included in it.
