  • Better Firewire cables?

I know this isn't MacOS-specific, but this is specific to a Mac Book Pro. On my laptop I use a Firewire 9-pin to 6-pin adaptor cable to connect to an Echo AudioFire interface. However, the 9-pin connector is prone to come loose if it's moved, causing me to lose connection to the interface. Is there any cable out there that's more secure that has a clampin/snap-in device that keeps it from coming loose?

No, you've probably just got a bad cable; just get a new one.
