    The big man's gone. Not unexpected but still sad.

    He's pretty irreplaceable so I wonder if Apple will eventually lose their way?!

    Their record without him is one of slow decline. But high-octane genius does not grow on trees, so there's not much that can be done except see what happens. Tim Cook is not a Rent-A-CEO like Sculley, Spindler or Amelio. Hopefully he can keep the bean-counters at bay so that creativity can continue.

      I agree. I suspect Job's left at least a couple of years of his visionary self in the hands of the main guys. Jony Ive probably came up with almost all the designs based on Job's visions. I suspect a lot has rubbed off on him. Hopefully they can keep him on board otherwise it's going to look grim a few years down the line..
