  • OT: Blackberry Curve Owners?

I posted this in Guitar Jam and got no help. Hope it's ok to post here.

I'm trying to send a ringtone that I made with Garage Band to my new Blackberry 8310 but when I send it, I can't seem to find the folder it's supposed to be in. I think it is supposed to save to Device Memory/home/user/ but I can't for the life of me find the file anywhere on the phone.

    Can anyone help???

I have an 8320 and move my own ringtones to the memory card. The path is Media Card/blackberry/ringtones
Good deals with: emoore, jerryboy, jedd, Julka, Stooges_Fan, mrmjp, tRagerEffects, teleman, Lonnie99, jimtalkbox, Tupelo Son, Jim Hunter, billly budapest, bxxandy

How are you sending it? From a Mac via bluetooth??

I do it (not to a Blueberry though) by 'Browsing Device' which is an option from the Bluetooth Menu at the top of the screen (click on the little bluetooth symbol). You can then PUT a file from the computer in the desired place.

I can't figure out how to get to the bluetooth symbol on the top of the screen; if I'm thinking of the same one you are. Also I should mention that I don't yet have a micro-SD card so I need to find it on device memory. I *think* I saved the files to My Ring Tones as an AIFF file, which could be why they're not showing up. I just can't seem to find them so i can delete them.

SYSTEM PREFERENCES>BLUETOOTH then select 'Show Bluetooth Status in the menu bar..

I doubt many, or any phone will play AIFF files..
