  • How many tracks should my Pro Tools system run?

I'm using Pro Tools 6.9 LE, with no plugins. My Mac is OS 10.3.9, G5 with dual 1.8GHz processors, 1.25 GB RAM.

How many tracks of audio should I be able to lay down without encountering resource limitations/errors?

    Why would you ask?

My G4 400 used to record 16 tracks at a time (maybe more...I never tried)

and playback all 24 with Reverb, Compression and Delay in OS 9 Pro Tools LE 5.x

PTle is limited to 32 tracks and 16 aux's. With that computer you should have no problems taking it to the software limits.
