  • Tracktion 2

    Hi all,

Thinking about moving from Logic 6 (big box) to new software, (kinda convoluted, support is now non existent) thinking about Tracktion 2. Really have no need for midi, just a great multi-track. Up in the air between Tracktion, Logic 7 express, or Cubase. What do you think? My setup is G5 dual 1.8, Echo Layla 24. The demo of Tracktion seems promising, (and cheap) but I want to record an albums worth of material over the next 1-2 years and value support and updates etc. (learned a hard lesson with Logic 6)

Mackie support sets the bar to that which others should strive for IMHO. In addition, Tracktion is a fantastic application, totally capable of professional results in the right hands.

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm excited by the demo of Tracktion, so elegant! Hope it will work out for me.

Tracktion is great to use. I also have Cubase over here and I rarely use it anymore. Things are much more ergonomical and smooth going in Tracktion. I have problems with jitters every now and then, but that is most likely due to me using a G4 powerbook on the internal drive. Beyond that, it's really great!
