I got a powerbook a few months ago and want to get a midi keyboard to record some stuff through garageband. Any ideas of any cheap ones? Thanks

Edirol and Cheetah (if they are still going) are pretty okay. You might want to go with a USB model if you don't want to have to buy a midi interface though. Obviously this restricts you to interfacing with the computer only so you wont be able to plug in to any midi device if you might need to in the future..

FYI, The M-Audio O2 and Keystation 49e/61es/88es/88 Pro are all class-compliant which means you don't have to install any drivers for it in OS 10.3 or 10.4. So that's kind of nice right there - plug 'n play, the "just works" kind of thing we all like so much.
