  • Need new PC for live performances

    Hi,

Time has come for me to get myself a computer that will last and follow me on stage without having to pray for avoiding crashes or unwanted noise.
I'll use it to launch backing tracks in Reaper and to play some vsti's (but mostly only one at a time, most instruments will be on backing track).

I'll need a really well build laptop with a good cpu (core i5 or i7), at least 4gigs of ram (but 6 would be nice), at least a 500go 7200rpm hard drive and a decent screen resolution, at least 1600x900 but 1920x1080 would be nice. Finally, a 13" or 14" model would be better, 15"6 might be a little too much. Anyway, i don't need the fastest computer, it mostly needs to be reliable.

I use Dell latitude at work an it's really nice but perheaps there's something better ?
I'm not fixed on a price right now, let's just say i'm ready to pay what must be payed to get a really reliable laptop.

    Thanks in advance.

Get 2 then, and have a switcher to carry on if primary fails. That is reliable. Redundancy.

Even if I went for that I'd still need to know which one to buy twice =D
