Members Armchair Bronco
I've been thinking about buying the Steven Tyler signature Hohner harp. I need something in the key of A, and my plan is to learn harp in the style of Zeppelin. Figure the Steven Tyler model is as close as I can get to Robert Plant. Are there other models I should consider?
Members DukeOfBoom
looks like a piece of crap according to amazon reviews http://www.amazon.com/Hohner-Steven-Tyler-Artist-Harmonica/dp/B001FWBWRW go with a Lee Oskar You do know that when you buy one in A, it plays in E assuming you're going in cross harp, which is what you do for blues, right? Yeah, I dug a little deeper and realized the Tyler model is a cheap made in China POS. The Hohner Special 20 and the Lee Oskars look like better fits for me. RE the tuning in A...yeah, I want this for playing Zeppelin tunes in E like "You Shook Me"...a blues classic.
Members Armchair Bronco
I ended up buying a Hohner Marine Band Crossover harp in the key of A. This thing has a bamboo comb that I just couldn't pass up. Led Zeppelin...here I come! Bring it on home, baby!
