Members TN.Frank
Hohner markets their 225 Model harp aka "Deuce and a Quarter" as having extra thick, 2.25mm reed plates, it DOES NOT. I pulled the one I have apart and put my calipers across the reed plates and they're .043" which converts to 1.092mm, basically a standard 1.05mm MS replacement plate. The extra .04mm probably comes from the chrome plating, either way they're no where near the advertised 2.25mm. This is a good thing though since the thicker the reed plate the faster the reed fatigue so you won't have to be afraid to play this harp just like you do your other ones.
