Jazzy sounds, any help?

I've been playing jazz for awhile on a rather expensive jazz mouthpiece and yet I still can't seem to get that classic jazz sound. I can play the rythms and all but I just cant get the right sound. What I'm looking for is a sound that rings out and kinda has that squeakish sound that you people usually think of when they hear the word saxophone.

 

I play a cannonball big bell stone series Bb Tenor saxophone with a Selmer C star mouthpiece. If you have any suggestions please tell me, I'm willing to try most anything.
